Wheat Chex

customer complaint lettersHave you noticed how small the Wheat Chex box has become?

Dear Chex:

I had never tasted Wheat Chex before, so I was thrilled to see that there were sample sizes available at the grocery store.  I put the little box in my cart along with some other cereal choices.  Later on at home, I was reviewing my receipt and saw that the tiny box of Wheat Chex cost me $4.19.  I called the store to complain.  I didn’t think it was right to charge that much for a sample size.  They informed me that they didn’t sell cereal in sample sizes.  A couple of days later, I was back in the store and I noticed that there was only one size of Wheat Chex.  What’s going on here?  The Wheat Chex box is a third of the size of every other variety of Chex.  You guys don’t even try to make people feel better about getting less.  At least the candy companies came up with “fun size” to soften the blow.

Dear Mr. G:
